<Saddam WILL destroy the missiles
As you may recall, I made that assessment awhile back
Reading Saddam is like reading a large print golden picture book for children.
Now Russia threatens to veto the resolution. In a game of brinksmanship for their money-cow (Saddam's Government) they only further damage the world's stability.
France, Germany and Russia are not suprisingly the three nations who stand to lose the most $$$$ by the ousting of Saddam.
Bush just gets angrier and these nations seem to want to insure they are cut out of the rebuilding and governing of post-Saddam Iraq - and their former contracts be declared null and void by the new administration.
They haven't yet comprehended that Bush is a shoe-in for re-election due to the complete lack of qualified dem candidates (not to mention a financial disparity).
The war is going on as we speak. Saddam didn't call his troops to Baghdad for no reason. He did it because their position at the border was less critical when Turkey delayed their vote - and when US forces are already smoothing the way to total victory in days.
The dropping of leaflets instructing soldiers and residents not to fight is bearing fruit and Saddam "dig trenches" order is being used in two complex ways - to test loyalty of those in and around Baghdad - and secondly to facilitate the quick planting of mines in residential areas.
Their is an increasing possibility that the administration of Iraq's oil WILL fund their reconstruction AND our war effort- lessening the strain on our economy and giving the Iraqis a quality of life only dreamed by the most imaginative and well-traveled among them.
The UN is in the process of invalidating itself and its authority. This is sad. However it would be much sadder if the UN hadn't become a ridiculous place where the foxes are in charge of the hen house.
Industry leaders in Germany are furious with Schroeder - his days are numbered. In France, too, there is a growing body of discontent with those who actually provide for the nations sustenance. This is why the French ambassadors and leadership have asked Russia to do what they could not, all while promising increased business together.
Is that wormy or what?
