LOL reminds me....
When I was a grad student I had, what I thought was, a great idea for an experiment.... I looked at the periodic table and there was only one element that had the right ionization potentials for me to test my idea on....
I went to my advisor and outlined the idea.... when I got to the part where I said "so we use our high temperature oven to create a beryllium vapor..." everyone looked at me like I was crazy...
I had neglected to look up the health effects of airborne beryllium... The interesting thing is it only affects those genetically predisposed as I understand it.....
