I protested against the war and I CAMPAIGNED for McGovern
I'm not that sorry about the war protest because my thinking was we were wasting American soldiers' lives persuing a halfhearted attempt at a war that the citizens of Vietnam did not support. I did feel that to go whole hog and bomb Hanoi and Cambodia would get us into an Asian land war with China and possibly Russia which I still feel would not have been good.
