The LOSAT is intended to replace the old TOW system. That explosion is impressive for another reason - LOSAT is a kinetic kill weapon with no explosive warhead. It's MUCH faster than TOW and apparently has a longer range, too. That's important - a missile launch kicks up a lot of dust and smoke, giving away your position. A faster missile gives the enemy less time to shoot back. That's a GOOD thing, only suckers and fools think we should "play fair" in war. Patton's Dictate is still true today, as it has always been.
