Unfortunately, given the enthusiastic willingness of certain people in America and elsewhere to believe the worst of America and cut Saddam slack in every direction, this trick will probably work on some. I'd like to think that Iraqis are bright enough to tell fellow Iraqis from Americans and British, whatever uniform they wear.
I have predicted that a vast majority of Iraqi casualties in any war will be deliberately inflicted on his own people by Saddam, and I stand by it.
