I think the point the pro-war people are trying to make, is that it is a proven fact now that Saddam has not revealed his weapons, and in fact is working very hard to conceal them. Under these circumstances, disarmament without military force would require a team of five thousand inspectors about ten years to find them all, even assuming they weren't being moved around. Under those circumstances, any idiot could develop extensive biological and chemical weapons systems without being caught, and given an external source of fissionables*, a nuclear warhead would be a piece of cake. At some point, with its usual reliability, the U.N. would get tired and go home, and Saddam would be exactly where he wanted to be.

We need to go in and finish this.

*Gosh, do we know anyone cooking up fissionables who might want to sell them in a year or so for cash? Anybody remember a load of SCUDs coming into Yemen on a ship with a North Korean crew?
