Just out of curiosity, exactly what has Bush done to create the economic problems you are talking about? Most of the tax cut hasn't passed yet. The Democrats are complaining he isn't spending enough on home security. The costs of the war in Iraq aren't really fully in the pipeline.
How did Bush cause this? And what would Gore have done differently to make the private sector take off? Increase taxes?
If there is a malaise causing economic problems, who is it that's talking down the economy? Bush?
