This poll reflects the highest support for war despite the U.N.--almost half--that I have seen yet.

Spin of the Day:

Mark Rozell, a political scientist at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., says the poll reflects the tendency of Americans to side with their president and military as combat draws near. "It's the classic rallying-around-the-flag. They may be uneasy about going to war, but they feel that criticizing now would be unpatriotic."

In other words, Americans couldn't really be convinced by ideas and events. They are really against the war, they're just being polite and patriotic.

I suppose I could theorize that most protesters in marches and rallys really don't give a rat's ass about the war, but just like to party in the street, skip school and work, shout at people, and look for chicks. Hey, I've got as much evidence as Rozell does.
