Dom Peringnon story
Many years ago I was on a business trip and I had a bottle of Dom. I think it was about 70-80 bucks back then. I was going to attend a meeting and I told my lovely friend to put the Dom on ice and we would enjoy it when I returned.
When I returned I found that the dear girl had poured the wine over ice in a pitcher and there it had languished for over an hour.
Pretty but not a rocket scientist. We spiked it with vodka and drank it anyway. It was the best DP I ever had.
Never cared much for champanya.
