Being an ex-Canuck, I took some good-natured ribbing for that today at work.

Many Quebecers don't consider themselves Canadian (they think of themselves as Quebeqois...I'm sure I mispelled that but I don't give a carp...or even a minnow). I don't consider them Canadian either, and that goes for Cretien the cretin as well.

I recently read some quotes from Ralph Klein, premier of Alberta, who is solidly and vocally behind President Bush and wishes the Canadian Feds were as well. Klein would make a good PM, but Quebec and Ontario would never let that happen.

Quebec should show some guts and separate. They could go be a banana republic, and I for one would welcome western Canada into the Union with wide open arms.
