Less than intended consequences?
<Arab anger rises over U.S. attack.
“Even Saddam critics oppose American troops on Iraqi soil.”
I wonder if one of the unintended consequences of this slaughter will be the overthrow of “friendly” Arabian governments, replaced by governments actively hostile to the US. After all, Egypt could well have been more hostile to the US, as well as Jordan, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc.
Or at least the necessity of Arabian politicians to be seen as hostile to the US.
Wonder if they planned on that?
