I hate the "war" too, RL.
And I think we're well beyond "prayer" too, cause nobody's listening.

I can hardly believe Bush really started it, but then I knew all along he would. Especially when the de-moralized, slandered and intimidated Congress gave him the power to months ago, lest they be branded as unpatriotic. (Only because they were more afraid of GWB than the terrorists.)

Soon, the REAL war will start, and it could turn into a quagmire or nuclear winter. Besides having our own American troops slaughtered (and the Iraqis will do it), Bagdad will be carpet bombed in retaliation. This is not a "nice war", no matter what all those smug, cuddly conservatives over here may say.
Sadam, in his madness, may unleash a nuclear weapon or dirty bomb which he may use as a last resort to prove to the world that his word is true. They will "win", by sacrificing themselves, and any Americans nearby. He certainly has had time to BUY these over the past few months, from Russia or Pakistan or any other tainted arms dealer working for their intelligence services for peanuts and/or a cause. PLENTY of those these days.
Religious fanaticism + no paycheck = opportunity.

We may have opened up Pandora's box. Not "we", but our own administration, rushing off to war to avoid death and destruction, when all we will do is create it. The very thing that we are trying to avoid.
