"Buses of volunteers reported heading from Syria to Baghdad to join Saddam Hussein's forces."
These fools are just going to get themselves wiped out if they attempt to cross into Iraq and join Saddam's troops.
One important point about the Iraqi resistance so far - the stiff resistance is coming from a small but fanatical, and well trained, group of Saddam's elite soldiers and agents, NOT from the Iraqi Army regular conscripts. These poor guys want to surrender and are only fighting when their officers or Saddam's SS troops are pointing guns at them and threatening to kill them.
