The end may indeed be near, but I think Iraq's strategy is to turn this into Vietnam v2.0.
I don't think we will let him.
No war is perfect, by definition.
This war is no different.
The casualties so far have been dramatic on our side, but very light.
We will soon see what Iraqis who are well trained and led and motivated do.
They have had years to think about this in general and months to prepare in particular.
They may well choose to simply fight,as they did in Iran, for a stalemate.
Anything short of saddam's dead ass is a victory for saddam.
This is far from over.
