It has been my immpression that much of the Bagdad population is secular by nature. Nevertheless, scratch a muslim and you will find a radical.
Hopefully, we can help them craft a constitution that allows freedom of religion and some seperation of church and state similar to Turkey. Whatever it takes we simply cannot tolerate a fundamentalist theocracy in Iraq.
I expect we will be there for at least twenty years.
