I've been there. Time in North Korea, for the average citizen at any rate, stopped in the 50s. Completely. the nation is completely brainwashed by the government to believe whatever it says about anything, regardless of whether those same citizens witness evidence to the contrary or not. Anyone who believes that we (and the UN, btw) should pull out of the DMZ and just let the chips fall where they may has never actually sat down and spoken with the people of South Korea. There is a genuine fear among those who can still recall the Korean War. The US and the UN are the only thing keeping that nation productive, and they know it.
