I was in downtown Chicago Monday AM. The weekend had been a nightmare, with protestors stopping traffic on Lakeshore and forcing several emergency vehicles to backtrack and find other routes to their calls.
Anyway, by Monday their number was down to maybe a couple of dozen, and they were well outnumbered and vastly outclassed by a contingent of armored riot police.
The protestors seemed well-behaved, but I've gotta admit I was happy to see the cops.
