Sounds like it's payback time.
According to this article, Kurdish forces have moved into Iraqi territory. We dropped 1000 paratroopers into Kurdish territory yesterday, and our SF forces have been there for some time, no doubt working to organize the Kurdish opposition forces like they did the Northern Alliance forces in Afghanistan.
The reported massacre is unconfirmed. Given the fog of war, it may not have happened. However, the Kurds have plenty of cases of Iraqi atrocities against them that deserve payback, so even if this one didn't happen, they'll be fired up.
