This news story is just Democrats trying to put a Republican "beard" on their own failed ideas.

"See? Here's a Republican who thinks 'compromise' is going along with our tax increases. It's a Republican idea, too."

None of the facts in my post are a "fantasy," and you know it.

I made the point that Democrats don't need Republican cooperation to get the tax increases, except to spread the blame. I emphasized it with italics. The Democrats should put up or shut up.

Obama hasn't said crap about entitlement reform in his budgets, or anywhere else. The Democrats shot down Simpson-Bowles, and every last reform proposal out of the House. The official Democratic position is that everything is just fine the way it is. Maybe higher taxes, which solve everything.
