Problem is most news sources are entertaining us, not informing us.

If, say, 500 precision guided bombs and missiles were fired today, we see an exciting video or two showing maybe 5 of the strikes, and we hear little of the overall impact of the other 495. Example, one of the most important results of the air war so far is the degradation of the Republican Guard south of Baghdad, and a few rare reports suggest that up to 40%-50% of their tanks have already been destroyed, yet there has been very little said (or shown) about it on the news reports.
