BASRA, Iraq -- CNN
U.S. and British forces have captured two Iraqi generals and killed a Republican Guard officer in separate incidents, coalition officials said.
One of the generals, taken by U.S. forces in western Iraq, led his captors to a cache of weapons that included 26 anti-aircraft missiles and six anti-aircraft guns, the U.S. Central Command told CNN.
The other general was captured by British Royal Marine commandos southeast of Basra in a pre-dawn operation on Sunday, the UK military said.
The commandos also killed a Republican Guard colonel and captured four other high-ranking paramilitaries.
