Leftist talking points
A: We are going to lose and everyone is going to die, and the whole world will hate us.
B: Our enemies, the Sardaukar/Sauron/Berserker/fanatical superwarriors, will utterly defeat us.
C: The government and military are doing everything wrong.
D: It's all that bastard Bush's fault.
If this brings on a little deja vu, it's not surprising. These exact same propositions were made for the first Gulf War, and the war in Afghanistan.
When you listen to the pundits, see how close I am to their observations with these four points.
