The thing about Arnet that is surprising...

He was telling Iraqi TV about the status of the anti-war movement in the US...But he wouldn't know what the anti-war situation is in the US...Certainly not well enough to give a report on it's status.

Its not like he can catch CNN, MSNBC, FOX, etc... While on the ground in Baghdad. Arnet was completely talking out his rear end...And Completely slanting that toward the Iraqi Propaganda machine.

And then to say that Journalists are being treated well by the Iraqi's when in fact journalists are routinely being kicked out of the country, or worse, being taken prisoner by Iraqi troops.

It really makes you wonder how anyone could take Arnet seriously in the first place; I know I never have. He clearly has a grasp of reality that is at best skewed.

Unfortunately for Arnet, he just spent his last chance at salvaging his career. Unless Al Jazzerra is going to hire an English-speaking correspondent, Arnet is permanently retired. He burned CNN, and now he burned MSNBC. Not to likely anybody else will be giving him the chance to burn them.
