Wow. Let's hope the speculation in that article is accurate. I think some assistance (even if not publicly acknowledged) from China would be an invaluable asset. The message of, "Cut it out" would be taken with much more weight if it were coming from N. Korea's big brother, rather than from any western country. Surely China realizes what a mess is brewing right in their backyard.
