I hope I contribute to a broader perspective on things, because:
a) I'm a little older
b) I'm not an American
c) I'm a woman
d) I don't swallow everything that all the major news networks and papers feed me.

I had my sattelite TV disconnected at the first of the year so I wouldn't have the "war" in my home. I'm an avid reader (always have been), and poke everywhere for items of interest.
And I'm also pretty independent (just ask Publius).
I try and be civil here, although I put my boxing gloves on once in a while and go after those who have offended me. I notice Mary Anne does the same thing.
At times, I get a little cheesy, because these boards get too staid...or the testosterone (aka male bullsh*t) gets too thick, and I'll start playing around.
At times, I can even make MYSELF laugh!

I know I mistook you for someone else earlier when you first started posting here, but you put up some pics and a bio, and that was very "community-minded" of you.
Others are pretty cowardly, no?
And that article on the battle of Nasyiria should have been required reading for everyone.
However, I know there will plenty of stories, books, interviews, movies, etc....AFTER the war (if it ever ends).........
