"They will use any tactic to get into the U.S.," Doug Mosier said. "These people are always devising new ways to get into the U.S."

U.S. border agents are on alert for impostors posing as American soldiers trying sneak into the country.

U.S. department of homeland security officials have sent bulletins to officers at border crossings nationwide alerting them to the fake soldiers.

U.S. officials said the impostors -- outfitted in fatigues and military gear -- are taking advantage of American pro-military sentiment to sneak into that country.

"We have had a number of fake soldiers," said Doug Mosier, of the U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection. "These people are preying on public sentiment."

Ones arrested were not carrying weapons.

Mosier said the phony servicemen may try to use their disguise to sneak into the U.S. from Canada.
