"On the premises, inspection also revealed heavy weaver card stock of the type used to make fraudulent identification documents," Green testified in the March 18 affidavit.
A different kind of war began for Jamal A. Abdul-Wahab and his family hours before the bombs began falling on their native Baghdad.
The police came as Abdul-Wahab was eating breakfast on the living room carpet -- a custom of Shiite Muslims in Iraq -- in his Henrico County apartment with his pregnant wife, four small children and an aunt.
Nine armed officers -- representing the Department of Motor Vehicles, Henrico police and the FBI -- entered the apartment with guns drawn and a search warrant. It was March 19, the day the war began in Iraq.
They were looking for documents -- car titles, registrations, inspection certificates, driver's licenses and temporary tags -- related to Abdul-Wahab's used-car dealership on Jefferson Davis Highway in South Richmond.
