Can AL-Jazeera Learn From Mistakes?
It is hilarious to hear about the about face Al-Jazeera is having to take on the status of the war and Iraqi opinion. Broadcasting celebrations and pictures of torture chambers. Will it force them to be more objective while still pursuing the goal of presenting Arab views and news of relevance to them? I think it is fair to say that even the most critical US media were still pro-American in terms of supporting our troups emotionally. I don't see a problem with Arab media taking a neutral or even pro Arab emotional stance as a counterbalance, but they need to present the facts far more objectively to have any journalistic credibility or truly serve their audience as a valid source of information.
