I saw UK soldiers trying to stop looting, precisely.
BTW, it looks like the UK soldiers had a much better understanding of the Iraqis and earned respect by adopting a behavior they learned in Northern Ireland, like showing their face, with berets rather than keeping their helmets on. Lots of stories over here, about the differences between the 2 armies.
