I am trying to get some information on exactly what is going on there OTHER than stuff filtered out through Israel/DEBKAfile (the Israelis would be delighted to have us come in and kick Syria's ass for them, and any information out of there needs a LOT of salt with it.)

According to Israeli sources, a lot of the Iraqi leaders are there in hotels, and a lot of the weapons have been squirreled away near the border. Would this be that hard to verify independently? Especially the leaders in hotels? Cripes, how hard could it be for someone to go look? Anybody see anything on this from any other sources?
