Most of the action in Afghanistan involved Special Ops

Not too many reporters could avoid being a burden to a Special Ops team. Special Operations personnel survive by keeping a low profile, moving quickly when necessary, and not giving away their operational techniques. None of those things lend themselves well to having a reporter tagging along. The situation would be different for the conventional forces but not Special Ops.
