It's no secret that I was reluctant
to see war in Iraq...I thought that it was
the wrong war, at the wrong place, and the wrong time...
And I still think Saddam Insane was no real threat to America [he is an evil man, but one without obvious military savvy]...
But at least the war has been mercifully short and has achieved the results expected of it by the WH staff,
and President Bush.
Now to the over 100 US military dead,
and 30 British, and one Canadian [ who served in the US Marines]. May they rest in peace.
I wondered was their sacrifice worth it,
for the goals achieved?
For the 24-million Iraqis, the answer is "yes"!
The 130 plus coalition-force lives sacrificed have given the 24-million Iraqis the democratic privilege of..."choice": the chance to "choose' their
future path for good, or for ill.
Saddam didn't give them any choice, now they have it...
It cost over 130 coalition lives to obtain it for them, the Iraqis better use that
privilege of choice wisely.
They can choose wisely, and have
a future like that of postwar Japan [1945-present], or they can choose foolishly and obtain a future like that of Germany under the Wiemer Republic & then the Nazis [1919-1945].
