If even a small amount of this is true, it is disturbing. And DEBKAfile or not, it goes without saying that agitators from outside Iraq are certainly going to be trying to worm their way into the weak power structure if they haven't already. I hope we have some countermeasures for this.
What Iraq really needs is an enlightened Shiite leader willing to follow in the footsteps of Ataturk and others. The temptation to create another Taliban is going to be immense.
