Re: SARS has been blown out of proportion

While there is an infinitesimally small chance that I'm wrong, this is not ebola. It is not even airborne like the flu. It can only be spread by contact, and like any bacteria it can be killed instantly by ultraviolet air filters. It is not likely to be spread in rural areas, where any given square inch of surface area is touched by a human hand every 10,000 years. SARS dies after 24 hours. In cities, there are few people that have it, and they are locked in their homes. Most people are not Typhoid Marys, and obey quarantine. Why? Because everyone around them wants them to, and besides that SARS might make them want to stay in bed anyhow, if they even have it. If not, most would enjoy the vacation, being a couch potato, surfing the net, or whatever. Quarantine is not the same as isolation these days.
