Syria is the hidey-hole.

Syria appears to suddenly be playing ball with coalition forces.

If both statements are true, Syria would be expelling hidden Iraq regime members from their lands. The only place that would accept them is -- Iraq.

The initial post is from the Associated Press, with rewrites from Fox News' Jim Angle. This is how news stories are made, both locally, and internationally. You take the wire-feed and embellish upon it with past known events.

Ignoring the fact that the conduit between Iraq and Syria ever existed does not mean it never existed.

Ignoring the fact that Syria offered assylem to the expelled Iraqi regime does not make it a lie.

Any news release that involves the written word needs to be taken with a grain of salt, true, but I lean more toward the culpability of Syria, rather than assuming that Hijazi & Co were simply camping on the supposedly sealed border to Syria, wondering what to do.
