The french philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy just wrote a book about Daniel Pearl.
He wanted to continue Daniel's investigations into the Islamic groups in Pakistan.

I just saw BHL on TV, tonight, and he's appalled by what he's seen in Pakistan.
Musharraf has no control on those groups; Pakistan is Al Qaeda basis and their headquarters was 500m away from the US embassy.
There is huge hatred against the US in Pakistan, among the population and their secret services work for the Islamic fundamentalists.
We know Pakistan has the nuclear weapon, and BHL says that's what Al Qaeda is aiming for.
In the Middle east, we see countries led by pro-US dictators but with populations that are very much anti-american (Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan) or anti-american governments with pro-US populations (Iran).
And BHL to wonder what GWB wants to achieve in Iraq....
That's not where the danger lies, but in Pakistan.
