Re: Joplin, MO Tornado
Some of my earliest memories (in KC) are of the picture on the TV warning of tornados and going to the basement and huddling with my parents and siblings. We had some close calls, according to my mother in a recent conversation.
But to this day, I've never actually seen one. But I have heard one, just a funnel cloud, it never reached the ground, but the sound will stay with me forever. I was in a tent at the time, miles from help.
Stay safe, Eri. Maybe keep some blankets and pillows close to the bathroom to pack yourself into the tub if need be.
And my thoughts today stray to the residents of Joplin.
