Perhaps, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I've gotten the short end of the stick in bankruptcy, and my experience is typical. Bankruptcy is just a legal way to screw creditors and investors, while the executives laugh all the way to the bank with their severance packages.
I titled it "In related economic news" because of the contrast with the unemployment news. Maybe creditors and investors will get a couple of pennies on the dollar in restitution, but as always, the rank-and-file workers will still be stuck out on the streets waiting for foreclosure and the end of unemployment benefits. Who's going to help the employee victims of these white collar criminals?
How long will it take Tom to post his standard message about how this corporate bailout laundered throught the IRS will "trickle down" and set everything to rights?
