I am puzzled by the difference in people.
Alice and I both read a lot but none of our 4 daughters are avid readers. I had blamed it on TV etc. but now I have a 7 year old grandson that is absolutely driven to read. He is already reading at 4th grade level. He is also addicted to TV.
I was highly motivated to read comic books when I was 5. This soon led to Bobbsey Twins, which led to scifi, which led to....
