There are over a billion Moslems gracing the face of this planet today. Their beliefs are as diverse as the many sects of Christianity are. Unfortunately, with a population of one billion to draw from, it only takes a very small percentage of zealots to wreak havoc.

Islamic fundamentalism is actually a dying religion. The suicidal fervor we witness today is clear evidence of this. Faced with the prospect of being overwhelmed by western culture, what else is there to do but lash out irrationally?

Suicide bombers are seduced into their irrational acts by the promise of paradise - a heaven blessed with a doting harem of 72 virgins. The draw to the true believer is more potent than any newstand "Playboy" could ever offer.

Of course, I can't imagine what afterlife might be like living in a household of 72 deflowered former virgins...the line between heaven and hell is desperately thin.
