Current Events » in reply to The Price of the Liberal Media Myth

"Are you going to believe me or your own lying eyes?"

I notice you haven't responded to my list, which was in response to your ridiculous statement that NONE of the media in this nation are owned (or more importantly, controlled) by liberals.

Look, if it comforts you to believe that ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, the Washington Post, the L.A. Times, and pretty much every large city newspaper in America are all hotbeds of the Great Right Wing Conspiracy, fine. No rational person would agree with you. By actual survey only about 6 percent of media people identify themselves as conservative (never mind who they vote for.) And I think a quick look at the editorial pages of most of these papers would settle it. Again, I notice that Parry manages to finish the entire article without ever mentioning Ted Turner.

I could go over each statistic in turn...for example, the Disney company gave 56 percent of its $1.2 million in donations to Democrats, which you would have noticed if you had actually done any research. Michael Eisner's $1,000 personal donations are hardly relevant in comparison.

And pointing out examples of the media saying Bad Things about Democrats as a sign that they certainly have a conservative bias is odd thinking at best. Maybe telling the truth is considered "bias" if the truth gores the wrong ox.

Face it, like I said, the Left is just angry that they don't hold a media monopoly any more, and they're REALLY angry that the Great Unwashed of America tend to choose their opposition (Fox, etc.) when given a choice.

BTW, I personally think that anyone still picking at the 2000 election like an old scab has a screw loose. Kind of like the old guy with a hat down the street who is still pissed about Nixon being "framed."

On the other hand, the farther the Democrats and the Left drift into their own little reality, the less likely they are to win elections, so go for it.
