HZ with this new format is very slick. A couple years ago, I developed a CGI scripted website based upon Apache for NASA Ames. I put almost 6 man-months into it and had something that I thought was pretty useful. Then the bosses told me there were some technology transfer issues being compromised and required multiple security wrappers to be put around the site. The site became so secure that almost no one could access it. The web site then went idle and was later decommissioned.

I'm telling this dreary story to indicate that I know good work when I see it. Your website is good! However keep in mind that an excellent website does not need Java to be really slick. You can do it with CGIs. The mark of an excellent website is having the capability of the user driving it with a state-of-the-art browser using the latest Java features --OR-- driving it successfully with an early version of Netscape using only HTML.
