I noticed that you went to Weirdstuff for your motherboard. Weirdstuff is one of my favorite junk stores and probably the best place for old motherboards. Another good junk store is "Halted" which is near the intersection of the Lawrence and Central Expressways. Also the "Disk Depot" or "Dot Com Depot" is a good place for used or refurbished hardware (mainly hard disks). Another real good place to find cheap hardware is the main parking lot at Foothill College on the second Saturday of every month. They have an electronics flea market there at that time.
