Hoping for success
Good luck to Mars Express and Beagle-2. I think there's a good chance the Mars Express orbit vehicle will be successful provided the Russians hold up their end. However as Raoul implied, there are serious technical issues with Beagle-2 mainly due to the project being underfunded. British aerospace engineers are among the world's best. Maybe(?) they'll pull off a miracle. Unfortunately Mars is very unforgiving.
