re: There are some other empty seats you should tally

How many people have died at the hands of right wing extremist bombs in the last 2 decades?

Really? The last 2 decades? Are we doing a comparison death tally between radical Marxists and radical rightists? Do only dead Americans count? Better hope so. You really want to start counting them up?

For simplicity, we won't include Americans killed by radical Muslims, which is a whole 'nother story.

For the record, 168 people lost their lives in Oklahoma City. Seven people have been killed in violence related to abortion clinics since 1993.

And my point was never to get into a pissing contest over which load of crackpots has killed more people--one person is too damn many--but which ragged end of the political spectrum has more influence in our day-to-day society. When I originally brought up the bloody history of the Left, it was to show the present-day radical Left's tendency to whitewash its own historical foundations.

As for Marxist representatives at the Federal level, start here. Only Sanders has the balls to actually admit he's a socialist. The rest are "progressives."

I see, so if they don't march in parades, as is the typical leftist venue for political expression, they don't exist? Or, if they don't hold a love-in style protest rally they have no political power? Man, are you nuts? When did the Skinheads stary throwing love-ins and beating on drums? When did the militias start singing in protest rallies?

They don't march in parades or hold rallies because they would and have been run out of town. What would happen to a university professor who said he was a Klansman? A Senator? (oops...scratch that.) A movie or television star? How many TV stars signed that pro-Castro petition?

Don't you see? The point I'm making is that radical Leftists are largely tolerated. The right-wing kooks are not. And in my book NEITHER of them should be.
