Every once and a while I freak out when it takes a long time to get confirmation of a post. It's probably only 20 seconds or so, but it seems like an eternity.

Have you noticed the problem on all boards or just Community? If it's Community, it would fit with my theory that the delay is associated with problems with the email server. "What?" you ask? Well, at the moment only Community is configured to send me a notification email about every post. Every couple of days the email server seems to develop a problem whereby it won't accept mail, and I'm pretty sure that the problem manifests as slow posting when the BBS software tries and retries to send a message before failing.
