You have got to be kidding? People have lost their jobs over opposition of this war- People I KNOW were asked about their stance during job interviews.

Protesters are spat upon, called weasels, ridiculed in public. Even here, among 'educated' people, insinuations of personal cowardice and moral flaws are made on the basis that they 'wont stand up' etcetc.

Taking a principled stand against war is ALWAYS the toughest position- just ask the German anti-war protesters and writers who died alone in death camps. Ask their orphans.
