My semi-automatic Win2000 update feature flagged me on a major Internet Explorer security patch.
People in the know say this vulnerability is a critical one. Applying the patch is a good idea. You can tell later versions of Windows to watch for updates like this automatically, although I'm not trusting enough to have the computer apply them without flagging me first.
