3 cases where problems were blown way out of proportion to reality. Polls show the WMD issue is viewed in a similar manner by most Americans. Why has it persisted longer? Becaus hard evidence contradicting it has yet to come to light. A mountain of circumstantial evidence is being ignored however by both the media and the repeated WMD issue poster here just as contray evidence was ignored or downplayed in the earlier stories.

I don't care whether or not WMD are found or not because you have to make decisions on the data you have and I think the WMD risk was correctly judged high prior to the war. I've seen enough circumstantial evidence since the war to believe high assessments of the risk were reasonable. I'm pretty sure the folks pushing this issue will jump to another if this one fails. It's been the pattern of the war bashers all along. They were against the war from the start and simply have to find a major flaw in it. Whether it's conscious or subconcious most hate to admit they were wrong. That's it for me on this issue folks. Tom and Don will probably argue for the next 10 years, but I'd rather get back to space.

Quite willing to continue on the tax cut fairness issue however or other issues related to the war such as the sorry state of follow-up in Iraq and Afghanistan.
