re: What must be

I was there before Medicare existed, and there was not a discrepancy of 2 x in life expectancies. Old people were not dying in the streets. These crises are manufactured to increase the power of the state, and people fall for it.

Medical care is a commodity like anything else, and the fact that like clean water, food, and shelter, it is necessary for life, does not make it any less of a commodity, in that it must be provided by human effort. To declare that you have a "right" to it is to make effective slaves of the medical profession, or those who would pay them.

I don't have an easy answer either to bring market forces back into play here. There are some hard answers. But step one is to make sure we don't travel any further in the wrong direction.
